Rex fricking Harrison beat Sellers for the Oscar… George C Scott wasn't even nominated… stunning.

Col. Bat Guano is one of the most underrated comedic characters ever. He steals the scene from Sellers.

Keenan Wynn was great in that role. That argument at the payphone and over shooting the lock off of the vending machine was hysterical.

"Do you think I'd go into combat with loose change in my pocket?!?"

A big plane, like a 52, coming in low, frying chickens in the barnyard...

YOURE DAMNED RIGHT THEY'VE GOT A CHANCE!!!

The Gen. Buck Turgidson character was great. I love when his secretary/mistress, Miss Scott, calls him in the War Room. He finishes the call with, "...and Suge, don't forget to say your prayers."

When Reagen was elected one of the first things he asked was where the War Room was. The aids told him there wasn't one.

The term 'War Room' has become so common no one blinks an eye hearing it. I guarantee the public doesn't know where the term came from… especially NFL draft coverage.

"Now let's go to Jerry Jones in the Cowboys war room."

One of the best scenes in movie history

Major T. J. "King" Kong:

"Survival kit contents check. In them you'll find: one forty-five caliber automatic; two boxes of ammunition; four days' concentrated emergency rations; one drug issue containing antibiotics, morphine, vitamin pills, pep pills, sleeping pills, tranquilizer pills; one miniature combination Russian phrase book and Bible; one hundred dollars in rubles; one hundred dollars in gold; nine packs of chewing gum; one issue of prophylactics; three lipsticks; three pair of nylon stockings.

Shoot, a fella' could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff."
