When did Felicity and Ray visit Central City? The timeline is off, and not just because they were on different timing with the episodes.

Arrow 3x17 ATOM suit is damaged by Oliver, EP ends with a LoA arrow pointed at Felicity.

Arrow 3x18 All hell breaks loose, Ray is in hospital entire episode.

Flash 1x18 Ray and Felicity go to central city with his suit kind of working to get help. However what is wrong with it isnt from Oliver's damage. He cant maintain the suit because of power fluctuations and over heating issues. According to the show runners, 18 of Flash happened before 18 of Arrow. So this episode was BEFORE the awkward I love you moment.

So, somewhere in the middle of the 3x17 episode for Arrow. Ray had to of fixed his suit from Oliver's damage. Then experience other problems, so he and Facility run to Central for a few days. Come back and have the cliffhanger ending.

Also, this means Ray's line in The Flash where he said "smaller is the answer", heavily paraphrasing that, comes before his injection. Which implies that the nanobots he had been developing, which he is injected with, were at least partially based on the bee he picked up on 1x18 of The Flash. So it REALLy throws off the timeline then. He wouldnt have had time to develop and build that many nanobots that quickly.

I think I have all that right. Read an article where they point it out, I just went a little farther with thinking it out.

Ray and Felicity visiting Central City happens between 3x16 and 3x17. The producers said in an interview that they had to fudge the timeline a bit because of scheduling issues.

Missed that interview. That is quite a bit of fudging.

So in this week episodes. With the network messing up the timing as well. The Flash is 2.5 episodes ahead?

Geez.

Now I need to go back and watch Flash 1x17 & 18 and Arrow 3x16 & 17. Figure out what goes where.

Like this?

So they are going to have a finale before the finale, but what is seen in the one finale may not necessarily be the case in the other finale, and the finale that happens after the finale, is the final finale which in turn may finale the finale that has already finaled.

Do I have that right?

Right now Arrow is a little ahead on the timeline, theres is also supposedly a small time skip between 3x20 and 3x21 of Arrow. So the time between Oliver joining the LoA and when he's sent after Nyssa in 3x21.

This is just speculation but I think the final few episodes of The Flash will occur during this time skip. We know for a fact that Oliver helps Barry face off against Wells (along with Ronnie) and he's in the LoA garb so he's still with them at that point. I also think the title of 3x23 tells us that Oliver wont end the season still a member of the LoA so the big face off with Wells has to occur before then.

So yea I think the Arrow finale will take place after The Flash finale...but then again time is kind of an abstract thing in The Flash so really who the hell knows.

I'm forgiving on the crossovers not matching with each series timeline.

For one thing, it's the same in the comics (How can Superman be fighting Luthor in Action Comics when he's been on another planet fighting Brainiac for the past two issues of Superman?).

Second thing... These small crossovers are awesome!

Writing pissed me off so much this episode that I turned it off 3/4 of the way through and might call it quits. When Barry watches the villain transform into the red head before his very eyes and then hesitates to inject the serum, giving the villain time to mace him, I got so pissed off that surprised even myself by yelling, "SERIOUSLY?!" I turned it off at that point and will not be finishing that episode. Grimm pulled a similar bullshite move or two, causing me to shut it off in season 3 and not once turn it back on again. I think I am done. Nothing pisses me off more than bullshite writing like that. I mean, he freaking watched the villain transform before his very eyes and still fell for the "It's me!" crap. Whoever wrote that episode needs to be fired asap.

You take a comic book show far to seriously.

Hope I'm not taking it too seriously, but doesn't the Flash heal really really quickly... I mean, Arrow shot him in the back with an arrow and he got over it pretty quickly. And he's had his arm broken, if I recall correctly... and healed up rather quick from that.... But when NotEddie hit him in the head and duct taped him up, he stayed knocked out for what... hours? Didn't take away from my liking of the show... just curious.

Ray and Felicity go to Central City somewhere between episode 18 and 19 of Arrow. In episode 19 someone asks how barry is doing or something and Felicity tells them that he has a lot on his plate. Also Ray is in good standing with Oliver and Co. when they visit the Flash. The only difference is that Arrow is one episode ahead for the season.

eta: I think

They have already publicly stated when he went though. See a few posts above.

So this
quote:

Ray is in good standing with Oliver and Co.

Throws it off even more. Because of tension from the couple episodes lead up to the episode where Ray and Oliver fight, which the writers now say happened AFTER the visit to Central City.

Basically, the writers/show runners fricked up, the network then compounded the frick up, and now we just have to deal with it.

I don't think that the writers are saying that Ray & Oliver's showdown happened after Ray goes to Central City. Ray goes to Central City because of the damage that Oliver caused during the fight.

Also has Iris ever been inside of Star labs before? How does she not notice the flash suit in there?

I think its been pretty well established at this point that she is a terrible blogger/reporter.

ok.... so if one was to watch the episodes in the correct timeline order, how should you do it?

The little inconsistencies totally took my SO and I out of the moment w/the last Flash crossover b/c it seemed really strange for Cisco and Joe to not know about the whole Lance busting his arse to bring down the Arrow thing.

We normally DVR Flash and watch it the same night as Arrow. Should we be watching Arrow first right now?
