The Flash has found it's new director

DOPE Director Rick Famuyiwa Will Take The Helm Of THE FLASH Movie For Warner Bros.
Seth Grahame-Smith recently parted ways with Warner Bros. over The Flash, leaving the 2018 release without a director. Well, they've now chosen Rick Famuyiwa, but why? Hit the jump to find out...
With Seth Grahame-Smith stepping aside due to creative differences, Warner Bros. has found a new director for The Flash in the form of Rick Famuyiwa (via Deadline). He's far from the more experienced hand it was rumoured the studio wanted, but Sundance hit Dope scored great reviews, so they're clearly confident in his ability to helm the Fastest Man Alive's first solo adventure on the big screen.
Grahame-Smith wrote the script based on a treatment by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (a filmmaking duo Famuyiwa has worked with in the past), and the trade mentions: "Warner Bros is looking for the right chemical mix on its superhero picture line based on the DC Comics heroes, and the feeling internally was that Famuyiwa provided a vision that would resonate with young viewers and that vision was very compatible with the script the studio is moving toward the start gate with."
Dope revolved around a teenager (and geek) trying to survive in a tough Los Angeles neighbourhood, and it will be interesting to see what Famuyiwa brings to the table. Ezra Miller is playing The Flash, and the movie is set to be released on March 16th, 2018. Do you think they've made a good choice here?

Is it too late to find a new Flash?

I've lost faith in the creative ability of DC and WB in making solid DC-based hero movies. The fact that DC has their shite all sliced up into differing realities (movies are different than the TV shows and some shows are in different worlds) shows there is no real unifying vision but rather groups of people just putting their spin on things before moving on to the next project.
If they want to do anything with the Flash movie the first option should be to change the lead actor from Ezra Miller to Rick Cosnett (Eddie Thune from the TV series).

Like Marvel splitting their properties between Marvel Studios, ABC, and Netflix? Where the TV shows have to reference the films but the films totally ignore the TV shows?

I'm thinking the TV show will be miles better than the movie.

Err explain how you want them to align the shows and movies, but want them to use a different actor from the TV show to play flash, and not the guy who plays flash on the the show

No.

Dope was good, but this guy is going to direct a major superhero movie?
Didn't that Emo kid play stereotyped beta male roles?
WB must be a front, none of this makes sense.

My son idolizes the tv show flash. He even has his hair cut the same way as the Actor. Whoever thought an emo Hispanic kid could play the flash was only trying to be edgy to get the urban crowd. They practically say as much in all of the trades when taking about the flash movie.
DC needs to get their shite together

They won't align so the least they could do is get a decent Flash for the movies.

Exactly how are they supposed to squeeze in two shows (one cancelled ) and at least two Netflix series worth of casts into a movie that's already brimming with a full cast and not come across as badly as the Green Lantern movie?
Also, I thought Whedon had mentioned at some point that the Infinity Wars movies would bring in all the heroes from all the MCU (including Netflix and TV)?
