Jaws

I went fishing in Toledo Bend a few days after seeing it. I was about six. Was scared a shark was going to swallow the whole boat.

The Shining. Went over to some girl's house in junior high with hopes...and left being terrified that Jack Nicholson was going to come and kill me in my bed that night.

JAWS

I was scared to swim in a pool as a kid because of that movie. To a kid the pool is no different than the ocean

I was about the same age... living in Florida. Hell, I was terrified to swim in our own pool in the back yard from thinking that Jaws was such a bad arse shark, he could bulldoze his way underground the few blocks from the ocean to our house and get me in the pool.

The imagination of a 6 year old can do serious damage to itself with just a little bit of encouragement.

The Doberman Gang

Made me start keeping an eye on our family dog . . . Even if she was only a dachshund.

Godzilla 1985, when he jumps into the volcano. I cried for hours.

Then Son of Godzilla, when the camera zooms out of Godzilla and his/her son huddled together on the island while the snow falls. Cried for hours over that one.

I don't remember this, but my mom says I started crying in ET the moment he gets left by his parents. Then cried the whole rest of the movie until he went home.

Upon further review, maybe I'm just a poon.
