Sort of liked at first; starting with end of season 1, begin season 2, I started feeling dirty and disgusted. I'm wondering where the good guys are in this series. None seem to have any real redeeming qualities. I just pity the perv's wife and kids.

Dornan is the man. I can't wait to see him in 50 shades.

Just wait until you see how it goes with the babysitter. And yeah, she's messed up. Almost as much as some of these LLOTOT around here.

quote:Lol. I had to google LLOTOT to "get it." But I'm thinking this babysitter is one of the saddest of characters on this series. Just guessing, but she could bring the house down on top of the perv guy. She's the one who found the lock of hair - and she's the one he beat up to get it back. And she's the one the daughter saw her daddy fighting with. And she's the one who took off her blouse on those stairs and made sweet eyes at the guy numerous times, and all the rest. Not lily white, but knows enough to be dangerous. She bears watching.

I don't understand why this is a big deal? Shows like The Wire and Breaking Bad have made bank and won critical acclaim on the backs of morally gray or outright morally black characters.
I enjoyed both seasons. Is there going to be a third? The ending was a pretty big WTF, but I guess it wasn't entirely unpredictable.

quote:I guess for me that's it - when there are no good guys, when all is dark, black, morally ambiguous or worse, I'm not drawn to watch. I don't care about critical acclaim; I have my own standards and critical filters that are bigger factors for me in choosing entertainment. But that's me - not meaning all people should have my standards and sensibilities.
