got me. i couldnt even get it through google. found two awesome comedies released in 83 but neither were released on this date.

ETA: Sonofabith - Vacation and Mr. Mom were released the same month (although Mr. Mom was limited in July, wide in August), and the month after Trading Places? That was a great summer of comedy, no doubt.
