The Americans - thoughts?

Anybody watch this show? I recently started it and enjoying it so far 3 episodes in.
Does it continue like this or does it get way worse? I'm asking because I never hear anyone talk about it.

It's one of the best shows on tv IMO. You should read the grantland articles on it, as they are pretty thorough.

It's pretty solid, but for some reason it has absolutely no word of mouth and the ratings are pretty brutal. I can't quite figure it out, because it's much better than most shows out there.

Also, I never thought Keri Russell was as hot as I do while watching this show. Episode 1 in the blonde wig she is a smoke show.

The dad character is a good actor and his character is a badass mofo too.

I took longer to get hooked, but it really has gotten better as everything has developed. Definitely stick with it.

It is an excellent show. The acting is really sensational. Stan and the younger Russian guy are outstanding in their roles.

It is routinely considered among the best, if not the best, shows on TV. Many critics thought it was better than Breaking Bad and Mad Men.

Yet those shows are talked about all the time and are incredibly popular. I have never heard anyone at work or with friends discuss this show.

personally i don't think it's nearly good as the quoted shows. I watch it, but I'm not crazy about it

I think The Americans is the best show on tv now. Maybe one of the reasons it doesnt get talked about as much is because you have to really pay attention and watch the show since it has so many sub plots. I'm just guessing but it definitely doesnt get talked about as much as it should.
