Anyone watch this yet? Pretty amazing and heartbreaking stuff.

Its about the Kenyan Mall shooting that occurred last September. Lots of CCTV footage and interviews with people that survived.

The police and army shite the bed worse than the NFL has over the last few months.

-Took 3 and a half hours to go in
-And when they did they shot 3 civilians that had gone in themselves to help, one killed
-then left and came back hours later
-Took 40 hours to finally kill them. They didn't even have hostages.
-Soldiers also looted the mall

I caught it a few nights ago. It was hard to watch but really interesting.

The guy in the restaurant with his wife punched me in the grief bone.

Oh also I caught Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight a few mornings ago. That was awesome too.

It was really good. The Kenyan military are a fricking joke. They waited almost 4 hours before they did anything. They finally go in, and they kill a cop.

The civilains and the few cops that went in saved a lot of people. It was hard to watch at times. Especially that one guy in the grocery store. They shot him 3 separate times because he wasn't dead yet. Those were some sick fricks.

Yep. A lot more people would have been dead without those guys. The CCTV footage was crazy. They along with some plainclothes cops stepped up when no one else would. Sad one of them got killed by the military for his troubles.

Watched this last night. Very awesome doc.

The CCTV footage was creepy...it's downright terrifying that people like that exist all over the world; people who can just roll up to women and children and start shooting to kill. And what a weird juxtaposition when the terrorists would all of a sudden show sorrow and compassion for random people/children. I can't imagine going through something like that.

The guy with his wife who were in the Urban Burger joint...man, that was tear-jerking. Same with the kid who died with his grandmother.

And major props to the civilians and off-duty cops for trying to get in there and deter more killing. frick the Kenyan police, SWAT, and soldiers for waiting so long to do anything. Some of the people (especially ones like the pregnant radio hostess) would've lived had something been done sooner and they wouldn't have bled out.

I went through HBO's documentary list and set aside ~10 on my watchlist.

I remember reading right after this occurred that the terrorists tortured some people. I don't know if that was a rumor. Was that covered in the doc?

On a technical note, the juxtaposition of cctv footage and the photojournalist shots were insanely good film making. To see it from two perspectives gave it a seamless feel. Big props to everyone involved.

Agreed. That was cool as shite. That dude took some great shots, and I can't believe how close to the shite he was to get those.
