I love shows with great writing, great acting, and great storylines, but I can't bring myself to watch shows that end up being slow-motion train wrecks. Loved the Shield, but you KNOW they had to get their due, and I don't want to invest in a character that will also ultimately get his due from manufacturing dangerous drugs.
That said, I am hooked on Sons of Anarchy and loved Dexter when I had Showtime.

SOA is probably my second favorite show on. But it is the same principle. Jax will go down for selling illegal firearms eventually. With that being said, the conclusion of season 4 was garbage IMO. It is like Kurt Sutter was coming to the end of the seasons and was like "oh shite, I have to write more seasons of this" and put a shitty twist to the end of the season.
I am interested to see what happens in season 5 of Breaking Bad now that the meth lab is destroyed and Gustavo is dead. It will be the final season, so I just hope it isn't Walter dying and shite the whole season.
I have Dexter downloaded (I think 7 seasons), but only watched one episode, it didn't captivate me, but I have heard you have to give it 3-5 episodes to really get into it.

Love some SAMCRO and I agree with everything regarding Sutter and S4. All of that buildup for 13 episodes, only to wrap it up in the first 3 minutes of the finale.
SoA is a great show because of the action/suspense, but Kurt Sutter is a very mediocre writer.
