Because Nicaragua is not an Island.

New episode up tonight.

I was moderately impressed with the cast last week. I don't think it will be near as good as last season, but's entertaining so far.

There is another thread, somewhere on here. I personally don't care and will post in this one too, but you know how some people are around here.

Rocker, the black Boston couple, the LA father and son. I found myself pulling for them. Rocker was a damn BOSS in the challenge. Literally carried his team to the end, only to watch 4 goons blow the puzzle. If he can keep his temper in check, he may do alright. This assuming too no one else realizes who he is.

if cbs continues to post #blindside at every tribal council, i will be writing them a strongly worded email.

blindside is the most over used word in survivordom over the past few seasons.

not every vote is a damn blindside. blindside should be reserved for those very rare ocassions where people flip during tribal and the majority alliance is totally shocked.

the indian chick being voted out last week doesnt count as a "blindside"

I agree. This looks to potentially be the best cast in a while. Getting rid of one of the Amazing Race girls was a great decision too. They are the worst/least interesting of the survivors.

im also glad there is no redemption island this season.

it took too much time away from the rest of the cast.

Most season long threads on here have separate threads for the season premier. Plus, the other one is titled "Survivor Generic Tropical Island". Not an appropriate title for a season long thread.

Okay. This season started sucking last week. Val screwed up bigtime, and her husband threw Rocker under the bus. The other Amazing Race twin threw fuel on the fire. Although some of what Val's husband said had some truth to it, he clearly presented it in a way to destroy Rocker's character. The Amazing Race girl took it a step further based on second hand information. The only survivors left now that I sort of like are the two older guys and the blonde gay dude. I know that it's only a matter of time before the two older guys get voted out, so I guess that leaves the blonde gay dude to pull for.

Rocker getting voted out with an idol was hilarious.

I hated the fricking "Twinies" on Amazing Race. They are easily some of the most annoying and disgusting reality characters out there. I can't believe none of the survivors remember how awful they were on Amazing Race.

I agree. I never watch that other show, but a few episodes of them on Survivor is all it took for me to abhor them.

I feel like had i been there after the idol challenge and they were screaming "Racist!! Homophobe!" at Rocker I would have been compelled to say...

"Natalie, what did John say that makes you think those things? Did you hear him say them or read them? Have you ever met him before and can attest to his beliefs or character? No? So your not only basing your opinions on the foggy memory of a scorned person, but screaming those opinions at someone on national TV? And your ignorance is better than what you are accusing him of how?

Might not have been great for my game but i would have definitely had to say that.

Also outside of the remaining indian my least favorite player by miles is that michigan state football guy. frick that dude.

Rocker is an idiot, but it was kind of lame how they made him look like the bad guy for defending himself when Natalie went off on him. What he said was pretty stupid, but he's supposed to just stand there and take it? His days were numbered anyway because he was playing so stupidly.

I liked Jeremy at first, but he acted like a little bitch last night. Throwing someone on the other tribe under the bus because your wife got voted out and acting like Rocker didn't try to save her? I hope he goes next week.

I like Baylor and her mom, the old farmer and his daughter, and Wes seems alright, as does the gay blonde dude. The goofy guy, John Myabe?, that played football at Michigan St is alright as well. The rest are kind of lame, or they just haven't been on camera enough to form an opinion.

I guess you can actually call it a blindside if you go home with an idol in your pocket.

It was funny he was pissed at Val for not playing her "idol", and then he gets sent home with one in his pocket

I still don't know why he believed Val...it was a safe assumption that he found the only idol at camp since he used the clue that Val also got at Exile island to find it.

Overall I felt like John got a raw deal, Jeremy (who I like) acted like a little bitch, and so did the Indian chick (Natalie?). I get that he said some nasty things in an interview 15 years ago, and they are upset their loved ones were gone, but airing that shite out the way they did was pretty low class. LOL at Natalie calling John a bad sport after what she did.

I'm interested to see the rift that creates on the blue tribe now, how pissed is Julie going to be at Jeremy and Natalie when she sees John is gone?

And, who the hell believes someone could have TWO idols that early in the game?

Val was dumb for saying it, Rocker was an idiot for believing it.

Didn't Natalie and her twin see another team drop money on Amazing Race and picked it up and kept it? Talk about low class.

i like the gay dude on the tribe that can't win. i thought the interaction with him and the dude from LA on Exile island were hillarious.

- "hick and a gay boy getting along, who would have thought"

- "he aint my kind of guy, but hes nice i guess"

If you read the interview, he NEVER mentioned black people. He stated that he hates sitting next to foreigners because they dont speak English. He did use the term "queer with aids" but this was the 90s. In a separate incident he referred to a black teammate as a fat monkey but to conclude he did so because he was black and not one of the thousand other possible reasons is a leap.

Im not saying Rocker isnt a hot head but this episode showed how America allows people to ignorantly hate other under the guise of PC and tolerance. Was frustrating for me to watch.

The most insensitive thing that occurred on this episode was Josh referring to Louisiana Fireman as "a hick"

"There aren't a lot of Josh's in Lou-easy-anna HAW HAW HAW"

Him and his son crack me up. I swear I saw some promo photos from before the season with him wearing an LSU hat, maybe he brought 2 hats out there and just hasn't broken it out yet.

So far I like:
Jeremy
Josh
Wes
Wes's dad
Alec? The long haired-bro on the loser tribe. His bro on the other tribe seems like a dumb version of Fabio.
Dale (Would like to see him pull a Bob Crowley and wreck shite)
Baylor
