How about you guys reserve judgement for the finished product with all of the proper lighting and effects done rather than flipping out over some leaked set photo ?

Ridiculous. You expect them to keep an open mind when the option of shitting on everything is available? Come now.

The funny thing is, it will probably be badass. I fully expect it to be. But goddamn, some of those tattoos are just awful. I can't deny it.

I doubt lighting and Michael Bay fx would make him look better. It looks like any a-hole at a Halloween party or what the suits at WB deem 'edgy'. It manages to already look more dated than the character's classic look.

Personally this is a quick way to make me lose interest when a film is described like that.

"It's like X Movie with Y."

Croc does look really good as does about 95% of the rest of this film. I have loved just about everything shown and I was even ecstatic about Leto being Joker. I really thought we were finally gonna get the classic funny, but evil as hell bat shite crazy psychopath.

He just seemed perfect to pull that off, but this look...is just so off. The hair is too clean, and the outfit is hipster almost? The tats I could live with but the open shirt is throwing me off.

Like I said I have loved everything else about the film, and Leto still may be awesome in the role, but seeing Joker like this is gonna throw me during the film.

That's exactly how I feel. I've been a big supporter of this flim, I still am, but the jokers look is odd. Plus that car he's driving had me laughing, and not in a good way.

I'm sure this Joker will be appropriately smart/insane. I'm sure Leto can pull off a good version, but I'm not loving the look.
He looks like Macauley Culkin's character in Party Monster dressed as the Joker.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I REALLY hope this thing works out, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned at the moment. The Joker is too important of a character for DC to frick up. I guess we'll see. I'm really not sure why they felt they needed to take all of these risks with him.

I'm wondering how big of a roll the joker will have in this film. These scenes appear to be flashbacks to me. I'm pretty sure they're following the new 52 suicide squad which the joker is never a part of.

I think he pissed on her after he knocked her down. I didn't see the stream but it'll probably be CGI'd in later which I can live with.

I think you might be on to something. Could explain where Batman fits into the movie as well.

Bitching about The Joker has officially jumped the shark.

I guess if you hated the kid or something. Hate to be a Debbie-Downer but this is gonna blow. I hope I'm wrong but I'm not.

I'm not even sure that Suicide Squad as a movie, regardless of what the Joker looks like, would appeal to audiences in a big way.

The whole concept seems to be playing specifically to the nerd/comic community. I'm not sure of its mass appeal. The way the story reads, there's no likable protagonist here. Who are they going to fight that the audience would dislike more than them?

On paper, your most well-known character is Harley Quinn. Don't get me wrong, I like her, but if you asked the general public to tell you what they know about Harley Quinn, 85% of them would tell you, not a damned thing.

I don't have high hopes for this movie, because it's like a football team with no starting QB. Who's going to drive the story here? And will anyone care about that character? Whoever that character will be is, by nature, an a-hole.

Actually, while the Joker was never a member of the Suicide Squad, he is in a few issues of the New 52 Suicide Squad stories (in current time, not flashbacks). Usually those issues focus on their whacked out relationship, and her struggle to choose between him and the Squad. I'm betting that is the role he plays in this film.

I don't think he will be a main character or anything, but he will play a big role in Harley's storyline.
