Great movie. Really talks about the Polish side of New Orleans.

Saw it performed on stage three years ago at the old Studio 54 Discotheque (now a Broadway theater) with John C Reilly (Walk Hard) as Kowalski.
It was actually entertaining to see the part performed by an actor that more closely fit William's description of the character.
After night after night of beer and poker, any sex appeal of Kowalski is subjective at best.
Btw, Natasha Richardson played Blanche.
