Probably the most entertaining book I have ever read. I like other books better for various reasons but I've never had more fun reading a book than SoS if that makes sense.

Yes, it is terrific but is much better if you don't watch the show.

Dude. Do yourself a favor and don't come back into any potential spoiler threads or ask to much. Just enjoy the story for how awesome it is. It is a hell of a ride.

I watched the first season after i read the first book. I've finished the second book and watched the first episode of season 2 and was not impressed

I agree with those who say it is one of the best, if not the best, books ever written in the genre. I watched the first 2 seasons before reading the books but I'm glad I got to read ASOS before season 3 - that's how epic and awesome the book is.

The odd numbered books are the best IMO:

Feast for Crows was hard to get through
