Really incredible show.

Was Tony's mom faking the Alzheimers?

I finished it last night.

Yes, I believe she was faking.

I feel that she was faking. She is also where Tony got his business cunning from. His dad was just a brute force thug, which Tony also was, but he also took his mother's ability to manipulate and it made him the perfect sociopath.

I enjoyed it but In my opinion, it was overrated for a series. I know it set the stage for big series but it was not what I expected. There are plenty of series that I would rank higher than The Sopranos.

I probably will watch it again someday but I did not have the love for it that others did.

Very good show. Not exactly great.

It was not only great but also groundbreaking. Really set the stage for the other serials like The Wire, Breaking Bad, etc. I guess you could argue that Twin Peaks was the real original, but Sopranos showed the other studies this format could be highly successful.

The early seasons are hard to top. It does wander off a little as the series progresses, but I wouldn't put any show over those early seasons.

She realized that the hit didn't go to plan, and she needed to have a cover to hide behind for her actions. She's probably the worst manipulative, murderous sociopath in a show full of them.

Totally agree about the groundbreaking part. It certainly set the stage....

I started a rewatch a couple weeks ago. Just when I thought I couldn't hate a character more than Janice, Ralphie Cifaretta comes along

GoaT.

I love the story Janice tells Carm in S6 that pisses Tony off - one night back in the day, Johnny and Olivia are riding back with Junior from the club and Olivia is busting Johnny's balls something fierce so he takes out his gun and shoots her right through her high beehive hair to shut her up.
