Anybody feel this way? Frick Leno for sending him to TBS.

That's not saying much these days.

Yeah, I agree.

Have a soft spot for what Kimmel does with the celebrities.

Fallon is a clown who does nothing but play drinking games with his guests.

Colbert is why too politicized that its striking that David Letterman used to host the show.

Seth Meyers is a whiny SJW bitch.

Haven't really watched James Corden.

Conan is the complete package though.

I was bitching about him in the other thread, but yeah, I think he's my favorite at least.

Still my favorite.

He's a very smart, opinionated guy but he doesn't put any personal agendas ahead of entertainment.

I don't really care much about late night talk shows, or their hosts, but the only one I've ever watched as an adult was Conan here and there.

Leno sucked, and I always hated Letterman (although I know a lot of people liked him). I do like Kimmel, but have never really watched much of his LN show.

I want to like Jimmy Fallon, mainly because he and I seem to have the same sort of interests (I guess since we are similar in age), but he's just so fricking annoying. I watched the clip of David Blaine on his show from a night or two ago, and he is so fricking annoying. All he does the whole time is feign childlike amazement and literally run around like a kid. The whole time.

I will say that I grew up watching Carson some with my parents, and he's still the GOAT.

Bill Carter, who wrote the book War For Late Night about the original power struggle for who would succeed Carson on TTS, has mentioned the same thing about Fallon and said it's a big concern of studio executives. He loves everyone and is a horrible interviewer because he just gushes over his guests.

Letterman was a fantastic interviewer, and he would destroy you in an interview if you got crossways with him. He bowed to no one.

After Ferguson called it quits way too early, Conan assumed the role of my favorite late night host. I like Colbert more than most people on this board too though.

Yeah, I think the only interesting thing he's ever gotten out of an interview was the fact that Nicole Kidman would have banged him at one time. He's by far the worst interviewer on late night tv.

Love Conan. Kimmel would be better if he didn't talk about crappy reality TV so much. Gave up on Fallon and Colbert.

Fallon has all but abandoned the interview. He clearly doesn't like it. He uses it as a vehicle to tease out funny anecdotes from his guests (all prepared beforehand I'm sure) and to allow them to plug whatever it is they are plugging in exchange for their participation in some silly game. It's actually brilliant. Most people don't want to see the host grill or even perturb the guest celebrity. They want to see them be chummy and excited about talking and to maybe give a glimpse of the celebrity's "life" through some fun anecdote. The games are brilliant because they lend themselves to spontaneous hilarity and bite-size comedy morsels for YouTube and such. The same is true of Corden's show, though there are a couple more sketches and such involved with him. That said, every once in a while Fallon has a pretty great sketch, too. You may not like his humor, but he's doing well for a reason.

Colbert and Myers are terrible. Colbert needs to either drop the politics or go back to "Colbert Report" Colbert. Myers just needs to latch on to something other than bagging on Trump.

Conan is consistently ok to good. His whimsy from his early career which made him such a darling of the 20 somethings is all but gone. I'm just glad he got Andy back.

Ferguson was brilliant.

Kimmel is still great and probably consistently the best of the bunch, able to marry games, street talking, audience videos, sketches and interviews into a usually pretty funny set of segments. While I smile at Fallon's antics, I laugh at Kimmel's jokes.

Kimmel and Conan are the only ones that I have watched any significant time... but I only watch when I see them as I flip through the guide.

My current rankings:

Fallon
Conan
Kimmel
Corden

Those are the four I watch. Fallon is still tGOAT and destroying everyone in the ratings. Conan is still great. Corden has gotten a little stale. Kimmel is Kimmel and always brings the laughs.

Leno didn't send Conan to TBS, his ratings did that. Kimmel is my favorite but some of his skits drag way too long.

Just bring Ferguson back. I want to see 'who is that at the door?' and have Secretariat run through the set. Also, Craig could flirt with the ladies like no other
