I'm beginning to think they are getting old and tired. Or they are being bossed around.
It's been a great 20 year run.
Last season plus 1st episode weren't encouraging - like South Park felt they had to constantly comment about politics. Like they were trapped in some mandate. Felt stale. This storyline feels stale.

I still haven't seen last week's episode, and honestly I don't want to. This show stopped doing the things that I like and it has gotten dumb and unfunny, you can tell from last week's episode. It's a shame that the shark jumped South Park this early in its run

They're probably going to use this episode to break them up, just like Cartman and Heidi broke up last week. Finishing off story lines that weren't closed off at the end of last season as they go back to stand alone episodes

If people think the first episode was terrible then you should just quit watching.
It gave us this:
There were a lot of great moments in it (load balancing wall, the alexa stuff, etc)

I read some of it. He didn't stink it up like he usually does. Mostly, it was the usual crowd of trolls saying all of the same things about it no longer being good (also the "perfect episode for Randy to show up" people), contrasted by the people who said it was a quantum leap from last season.

Y'all gotta quit using that word, it's meaningless now.
But the south park threads did get a bit repetitive with the same people saying the same shite. I'm guilty of the same thing in the game of thrones threads.
