Succeed? Fail? 2 years, 3 years? become a neutered versionn of the book? Ground breaking?

I want it to succeed, but would much prefer to see a Sandman series on HBO.

probably along the same route as Hannibal, if the writing is just as good. it will have a few viewers but will struggle to garner a wide audience.

yes it has to do with the Keanu movie in that its based on the same material, but other than that, itll be totally different

I am a huge Hannibal fan, so I think NBC can actually do a good job with Constantine. I agree with you that it will probably struggle. I can't figure out why Hannibal can't find a bigger audience. It is a fantastic show.

No one watches basic network television anymore. It's as simple as that. Detective/cop shows are all they're good for.

I think of NBC/FOX shows to be cheap and consists of lazy writing. Hannibal and The Following seem to be the 2 best shows and only shows that haven't been canceled yet.

NBC will ruin Rosemary's Baby (as much as I love Zoe Saldana)

I'm with you, but only because I can't quite figure out why I don't really enjoy it. It has great acting. The scripts seem pretty tight. But for some reason, the show just doesn't interest me. And it's strange because people love these serial killer shows, myself included. Maybe it's too slowly paced?

I guess there's a lot of people like me who just aren't at all interested in Hannibal Lecter. I feel the same about Community.
