I was pleasantly surprised to say the least. If they follow through with it, it's actually going to be one of the better Bond films of our time, IMHO. It highly resembles a classic Connery film, only with a stronger subplot.

I've stated on here numerous times that the Craig films have severely lacked a memorable villain but they make up for it tremendously with Blofield/Waltz (and yes, he is Blofield - Oberhauser is his alias).

And the organization itself is more badass than you can imagine. It's everything we were hoping Quantum would be.

Another noteworthy point is all of Craig's past three films are linked to this one. And the SPECTRE organization is tGOAT!

I was skeptical at first (because i had no faith in John Logan -and the negative reviews based on earlier drafts), but i don't think this film could have been written any more perfectly. Overall, it's my second favorite Bond film and I've yet to see it. Lulz

The big thing I am wondering is if they will cross-film SPECTRE or if it will be a one film and done like they did Quantum.

well, the Craig scripts have been much better. The scripts in the latter Moore years and Dalton, Brosnan years were weak. The Supervillain stuff became a caricature. They downsized the villains a little and it was much needed.

The books weren't about one guy taking over the world. First they were about SMERSH and then they were about SPECTRE. However, SPECTRE was more about extortion and rackets than it was taking over the world.

They need to remake Moonraker. Use an ABM and it would work even today. Then remake Man With the Golden Gun. Bond trying to kill M. THAT was a great start to a book. They should have used that. Then Scaramanga and Bond stalking each other. That is a book that deserves true justice.

I'll gladly send you guys a copy of it. I do not want to post the link in fear that it might get shut down. just create a quick email address and I'll email you the PDF file (because I know you don't want to post your personal address lol).

they definitely leave the door open for future movies involving Spectre. blofield doesn't die,but he becomes heavily disfigured, which leads me to believethey plan on bringing him back using a different actor and much like diamonds are forever, they'll say he had some sort of facial reconstruction surgery.
