Great directing, great ensemble cast, great fast moving plot, great action, great characters and dialogue.

Having trouble figuring out how this isn't a near perfect movie. Anyone wanna set me straight?

It's been a while since I have seen it but I seem to remember the end of the movie kind of sucking.

I recall enjoying it quite a bit. Like I saw it in the theater and rented it right after it came out on DVD. But it's been a while since I saw it.

Good movie, many in that genre better, though.

I liked it a lot and have enjoyed it a few extra times as well. But, I wouldn't say it's perfect by any means.

I mean perfect in execution, there's nothing overtly eye-roll inducing and the plot is really tight. It's obviously not the best movie ever but I think they nailed exactly what they were going for making it.

Solid action movie. Nothing to fancy but a good watch on the weekend.

Dude. Come on. I actually like the movie Alot. It's a solid action movie and I enjoyed the "twist" at the end for what it was, but there was plenty of eye rolling shite in that movie.

Like what for instance? I bought it today at the wallmarks for $3 and watched it, can't say anything stuck out as overly ludicrous in the world set up for the story, which was more comic-book than dramatic masterpiece

I'll check it out. Smoking Aces reminds me a lot of Lucky Number Slevin, which was also great. They actually came out the same year and I confused the two for a while.

I thought smoking aces sucked, lucky number slevin was much better.

Aces reminded me of boondock saints, another shitty movie.

Is this the movie with the really awkward karate kid nerd and grandma?

That scene was so odd and out of nowhere.. Haha.

The action was fun in smoking aces

Watched this again today, still befuddled by how it only rates a 29% on RT.

Jeremy Piven puts on a great performance, and I actually think this is one of Chris Pine's finest work.

The story juggles like 20 different wildly colorful characters and does a damn tight job doing so.

Every time I watch this I'm more impressed by Common and Alicia Key's outtings.

Ryan Reynolds + Ray Liotta = Great

The directing, writing, acting, and characters are all so entertaining.

Every time I watch this movie I go in trying to be critical but just end up enjoying it even more.

I've liked Common in just about every thing he's been in. I think his music is awful, but he's a good actor for the roles he plays.

Eta: And Alicia Keys was sexy as hell in this movie.
