It's not like that. You're not particularly bummed during the film. Maybe a tad bit disturbed, but sad, not really. I'd say though its kinda this year's 50/50, but not really.

Great performances by the entire cast. Lawrence may very well get the Oscar.

I saw this and Zero Dark back to back. I absolutely loved both and it would be really hard for me to pick one that the Oscar should go to.

I will say that although Chastain was great, Lawrence should take home the statue. She was brilliant.

Just got out of this film. Simply outstanding and is giving Argo a run for its money for the best film of the year. Outstanding performances by Cooper, Lawrence, and Deniro. Deniro's best film in over a decade with a great performance by him. Lawrence blows it out of the water and should win her nomination.

For a love story, it does an incredible job building tension. Can't think of any love stories on the top of my head that manage to do this. It's not if they're going to end up together, it's just they make the stakes really high for it. Lawrence and Cooper have great chemistry and play well off each other. I give this film my highest recommendation and you should all see it when it comes out into theater.

10/10

This post x500000000000000. I went and saw it Thursday. I was kind of expecting a let down because it has really been hyped the last couple weeks, but it was even better than I expected. I was blown away at how perfect it was. I've even been playing the soundtrack on Spotify since I saw it. That cover of "Monster Mash" is legit.

In other news, Jennifer Lawrence is single.

Best movie I have seen in a long time. Cooper and Lawrence were awesome. The movie has your attention the whole time. Great twist to the ending.

Couldn't agree more. Cooper and Lawrence worked well together. David o Russell had said he let Lawrence audition as a formality thinking she was to young and in no way right for the part but was won over by her.

I had not heard that about Lawrence's audition. I wonder who they interviewed for the role, I can't imagine anyone else.

I'm glad people are finally coming around to seeing this film. I was afraid it would get lost with Django, Les Mis, and ZD30 all opening so close to it. Hopefully the Oscar nominations will help too.

Anne hathaway was actually cast first for the role but had to drop out due to conflict with shooting the dark knight returns.

Yeah Lawrence was really good. I think it is between her and Chastain for the Oscar. Cooper was great as well and Deniro's speech to him at the end was awesome.

I was actually going to start a thread, but I'll just add to this one.

My question is, who do you think is the craziest person in the movie? I mean of anyone in it? I'd have to go with the dad (De Niro). Sure, he's got a gambling addiction and he's superstitious, but I still say he leads the pack, which sort of says something.

Great movie. Loved the football element. I really enjoyed Jennifer Lawrence "putting her black on" with that halter when she was practicing her movesand those beauties sure move around like they're real.

I haven't come out of a theater in a long time and instantly thought to myself, "damn, that was a great movie".

Her body legit doesn't make sense in some scenes. It looks insane in those tight dancing outfits.

Well Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper visibly improve throughout the movie, and their disorders were brought on by heavily fricked up shite that happened to them that if I were in their situations I'd probably turn out the same way. Deniro's condition doesn't really improve at all and he may have been encouraged to have that line of thinking in the future. Since he's the one least likely to improve, yeah I'd have to agree with you.
