Silicon Valley Finale Question (spoilers)

When Gilfoyle asked Jared if those new daily users (the uptick) were legit....and Jared said yes.
Did...
1. Gilfoyle recognize it as a lie and not say anything?
2. Jared successfully hide the fact he was lying?
3. Jared believe they were technically legit so it wasn't a lie? (I think this to be the least likely)

He knew it was a lie. That's why they had Gilfoyle acknowledge every trivial lie Jared said during the rest of the episode, to establish that Jared can't get a lie past Gilfoyle.

Gilfoyle and Dinesh are smart dudes. I figured they found out about the extra users through other methods. This was admittedly more obvious a way I guess.

Didn't they write a program that would make it impossible to identify the users as not genuine? They gave it to Richard in the back yard, right?

Yup. So Gilfoyle must have known Jared was lying, told Dinesh, then they wrote that program.
