Thoughts.....
I enjoyed the hell out of it. Went in not knowing much about it. Watched it as a way of passing time but as pleasantly surprised. Benicio del Toro's character was very intriguing. The movie ended on a dark note which was great to me.

I just saw it a few days ago on Amazon Prime and loved it. I thought Blunt did a fantastic job of being not just the audience surrogate but the surrogate for us as a people. Do we really want to know what needs to be done in that world? And if we face it, what would we do - expose it, join it, or just sign off on it and pretend it isn't happening?

Benicio del Toro and Emily Blunt were really good in this film.

Do you not Villeneuve, bro?
I wasn't familiar before, but I sought this out after recently seeing Arrival

No I'm not familiar with that one. Worth finding and watching?

Definitely. It's very intense, disturbing movie

They were. Benicio del Toro is one of those names that is familiar, but I couldn't have picked him out of a lineup before. But this was certainly a memorable performance.

It was a better watch for me on the 2nd viewing. Also I think you get a different feel for it if you've been to some sketchy areas on the other side of the boarder.

Sicario borders on masterpiece. There are very, very few parts that are not excellent. Villeneuve is a director who crafts spectacles. He knows well what he wants and how to achieve it. Sicario is filled with his brilliance and is punctuated by an incredibly intense and provocative turn by Del Toro. Blunt is simultaneously weak and strong, and she plays her part to the t. I am blanking right now on the movie's issues, though they exist. I simply loved it.

Sicario is awesome. I watched it without ever having heard of it.

I loved everything about it. I didn't know anything about the movie when I watched it other than it had been nominated for Best Picture at the time, and I was thoroughly impressed. A real masterpiece.

The music was intense! I had chills when they were going into Mexico. Was it a tuba?
