Shouldn't Wonder Woman look like an intimidating figure? (re-beating the horse)

I mean who would be intimidated by this tinny little girl?
I am not one to make a big deal about her lack of body. . .that isn't the point.
It is her lack of muscle mass. Not like a Chyna, but more of a Carano/Rousey physique.

It's just that making her a little scrawny girly-girl is a total miscast.
Imagine the uproar if they made a Black Panther movie, with a white guy playing T'Challa? To me this casting is that bad.

Yeah, but she was still tall as hell with those big natural titties - that kind of made up for her lack of muscular arms - and this was before gals in Hollywood got jacked, so there weren't a lot of options - they went with a good one.

Let's be honest, Carter is a nostalgia pick for most people, since she ushered many men into puberty. Kinda like nobody will every be the GOAT in the NBA but Jordan. . .people will never give credence to something they have accepted as fact.
But she was a shitty Wonder Woman.
ETA: but she was exponentially better than Gadot, at least Carter looks like a woman.

Gal Gadot is a former member of the Israeli Defense Force. Just saying. And she's almost 5'11" whereas Gina Carano is 5'8".

The U.S. Armed Forces =/= the Israeli Armed Forces. They receive the exact same training as men and are held up to similar standards. They have to be because they are surrounded by people who want to kill them. 95% of all jobs in the IDF are opened to females.
She's extremely athletic, does her own stunts, and was a sparring partner of Carano's when they were on their off time filming the Fast and Furious movie they were in together. Gadot is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

She's not my first choice, but I think she'll do fine. I think she has the perfect face for it. That's something to be happy about.
IMO it's going to come down to how she comes across on screen. I'm sure her casting had something to do with the fact that she looked good next to Cavill and Affleck. I'm gonna give her a chance.

Apparently, yes. I agree that Gadot has the height, and even an exotic look. She's almost too pretty, though and definitely lacks an intimidation factor with her very slight build. I know she worked hard to prepare and costuming may be able to add some artificial bulk.
She did all her own stunts in FF - so, this may not end up as disastrous as many of us think it will be. But, I do think that there were half a dozen options better than Gadot (and, yes, Carano is one of them, IMHO.)
