Watched this the other day with the wife. What a surprisingly good movie! Carell was very good in it, but the star was Keira Knightly. She is one of the top actresses out there today, yet she doesn't take on very many high-exposure roles.

There was one point in the movie where my wife audibly gasped. I asked her what was that about, and she said it was Knightly's face. She was saddened simply by the expressions KK gave. That is damn fine acting.

I highly recommend this one if you haven't seen it yet. It's not comedy necessarily, but it does have its moments of laughter. It's a very touching movie.

Definitely enjoyed that one.

Also really enjoyed Keira Knightley in "Begin Again" with Mark Ruffolo.

I laughed pretty hard during the restaurant scene. "I hope a booth is okay, because we burned all the chairs in a bonfire."

I can neither confirm nor deny the effect on me

Have not seen this one. It has Saoirse Ronan, so that's two stellar actresses in one film. I will add this to my netflix que as well.

I absolutely loved Never Let Me Go, and she was great in that. She probably deserves her own thread on this board.
