Just got back from watching it and i loved it

As already said any scene with McBride or Cera was fricking money

I couldnt even breathe during the Jizz argument or during the "rape dicussion" even some of the jokes that got watered down by being previewed a billion times still landed

The Backstreet Boyz at the end really landed for me so i think its a generalization thing, i grew up in the dead center of that boy band era so it connected

I think im the only one in the movie that got/loved the Segal joke about HIMYM and Kevin Harts reaction

Some of the scenes got ruined or me accidently reading the thread on here about it (like the Tatum appearance) but that didnt happen often

I was not prepared for all the demons jumping out of nowhere, im a jumper so they got me good a couple times

This movie was all i had hoped and i cant wait to watch it shite hammered soon

Sidenote: Idk about yall, but this movie had the worst preview lineup i have ever seen. It went something like: Machete 2, White House Down, The heat ( ) The To do list, (which on paper should be funny, but the previews are god awful) and Grownups 2.

I'm not sure how...they practically beat you over the head with the joke; it was pretty obvious.

And skimming the first page of this thread, I don't get the BSB hate...I thought it was pretty funny. It's the randomness of BSB that makes it funny, and the dance scene is just an overly stupid (on purpose) way to end the movie, which fit perfectly IMO.

Yeah, the previews were bad, although I will say it here first...Grown-Ups 2 actually looks pretty funny. I know lots of people hated the first one (it wasn't great at all, but I thought it was decent enough, and got unnecessary hate), and the second one may very well suck, but the trailer was pretty funny IMO.

GOD where the previews horrible. Not only did every single one of them suck but there was also like 10 previews. The whole time I was miserable during the previews

I had a preview for Grown Ups 2 and The Heat. But I also got the trailer for the JGL directorial debut, Don Jon and that looked HILARIOUS.

because, at least for me, the randomness seemed way too forced.

Like Mike Tyson in the Hangover. lol soOoOo rAnDum!!!

that's how I view it.

you're telling me that this dude's first wish in heaven is to see the BSB reunite? aside from one of their songs playing earlier in the movie, we have no idea that Jay loves them.

imo, it would have been better had his wish been something that was sooooo unlikely to happen IRL that it HAD to only happen in heaven where you get ANYTHING you want. And it should have been something that a lot of the audience would want too. I don't think anyone sits around and thinks how awesome it would be if BSB got back together.

I mean, it would have been hundreds of other things that would have been funnier and more "random"

But that is kinda the point...it's supposed to be so ridiculous and stupid. Obviously nobody would use their "wish for whatever you want in Heaven" and wish for the BSB. Again, that's the point.

You and I will never agree on that. Again, that was the whole point of Tyson...it's Mike fricking Tyson randomly popping up in the middle of a raunchy Vegas comedy. It is funny in and of itself...but some of the Tyson stuff was actually funny in its own right in the first Hangover IMO. In fact, it would've been infinitely funnier had they not showed him in the previews (I think I remember him being in the trailers).

You just seem to hate anything that is random in movies...sometimes those can be funny, even if the randomness is the only joke.

no I totally get the point.

But to me, what is ridiculous and stupid is that they thought it would be funny to put in a movie

I think part of it is when I see celebrities in films that aren't actors, it's just almost never funny. it's not about it being random. It's about me imagining that celebrity showing up to the production thinking how awesome it is that people asked them to be in the movie and thinking they are going to be so funny. I can feel it commminggg in the air tonightt... NAILED IT! lulz

see I disagree. I love randomness in movies. In fact I love it in stand up comedy as well. Mitch Hedberg is the epitome with his non sequiters and bizarre/surreal approach. That is random.

I enjoyed the first Grown Ups. Kinda made me feel like what me and my slap dick friends would look like in a few decades.

The other previews were horrid, though. White House Down looks like a fricking preview from Tropic Thunder and that movie about that flat chested chick's virginity looks like a pile of shite.

Saw it friday and it's definitetly worth the price of admission.

Bottom line is if you didn't care for Knocked Up, Pinapple Express, Super Bad...ect, then don't waste your time.

my chest was sore from laughing so much and BSB didn't bother me so much. McBride and Craig Robinson were great.

This, his enjoyment of the actors' other movies, and the good reviews led him to believe it had a more intelligent kind of humor

What fricking movies are these actors in that display intelligent humor?

Movie was awesome.

I didn't say it had to be intelligent humor, he just thought itd be more than jizz jokes the whole time. Think something like the cops from Superbad
