Lonesome Dove, the last scene where he's talking to the reporter and goes through his memories of all the people who died on the trip.

I weep like a child at the end of Saving Private Ryan every single time.

That scene at the graveyard is so fricking powerful.

Also, any movie a dog dies, I'm pretty much guaranteed to cry.

Reign on Me with Adam Sandler. Had that been played by someone else, it would have been more a lot more popular and saddening.
Dad loses his wife and kids, and dog, in 9/11 and has a rough time living his life after that.

I doubt this movie really gets to many people, the few that have seen it, especially those without kids, but being a dad now, the thought of losing my entire family like that is just sickening.

Under appreciated movie IMO. Sandler actually does a damn good job as well.

Simon Birch is up there

Gets my vote for this thread.

But this is a very close second, I bawled my eyes out when I saw this scene. One of my close friends died in a car accident when we were both 12. His funeral was emotionally brutal but also amazing -- pretty much the entire school showed up and to this day, I've never seen so many people at a funeral/service. Still gives me chills as I sit here and type this.

in second grade our entire class was taken to see it at eastgate cinema in monroe

us boys thought we were big and bad at that time and i remember every guy doing everything possible in our second grade minds to not appear weepy in front of the other guys coming out of it.

good times.

The Remains of the Day
Old Yeller
Goodbye, Mr. Chips
As someone above mentioned, Dear Zachary is depressing as hell

The deaths in Dead Poets Society and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire are pretty sad.

I agree with the final scene between Hunt and Hanks in Castaway - he's the love of her life, but they can't be together.
