How the frick did How I Met Your Mother not even make this list??

No clue. 7.5 strong seasons out of 9. Terrific show that you must watch in order to truly appreciate, unlike a lot of 30 min shows.

All lists are suspect, especially Rolling Stones'.

I remember in the late 80's they did one of their "Best Rock Albums of All Time" lists and had a disclaimer saying that certain bands wouldn't be included since they weren't "rock" enough. Acts like the Eagles. Then a year later they had a "Best Rock Singles" list and put the Eagles towards the top with Hotel California.

Surprised Slings and Arrows didn't make the list. I think it's a great show.

This thread is nothing but hate but this is an absolutely IMPOSSIBLE task and I think it's overall a pretty good effort. There are an essentially infinite amount of shows and an essentially infinite number of different views on every show out there. No way to make everyone happy.

I think this list does a good job of recognizing a ton of great shows from a ton of different genres. No, it doesn't get MY top 100 right or even the consensus top 100 but it's not entirely ridiculous and gets a lot of things right. Everyone needs to chill.

No Andy or Cosby?

Also I feel that Band of Brothers should be in here somewhere. I mean it's a hell of a lot better than East Bound and down.

Also, their definition of TV show is way to broad. If you're going to have talk shows and jeopardy, why not something like 30 for 30?

This list is awful all around.

Maybe the worst is David Letterman ranked WAY higher than Johnny Carson?

This list was clearly written by someone who is younger than 25. Johnny Carson is one of the most important TV shows of all time. Letterman is great but he can't possibly be ranked above Carson.

This list sucks.

Reality TV sucks and shouldn't be on it.

I think it is also stupid for talk shows to be on the list.

Too much love for the recent comedians and comedies imo.

MASH being so low is complete bull shite.

Mad Men is my favorite show and it saddens me that I will probably never like a show as much as I liked watching Mad Men.

I just finished season 2 of The Wire. Pretty cool to know I still have 3 seasons to watch of the second best show of all time.

Rolling Stone does suck. If there is any group of people that doesn't know what the frick they are talking about in regards to movies or television, it's definitely Rolling Stone.
