The definitive James Bond against which all others will be measured. The perfect mix of tongue in cheek and lady killer bond. The way he should be.debonair and suave. RIP

He's always been James Bond to me. I love most of Sean Connery's movies, but just never felt attached to his Bond. Daniel Craig is my second favorite, but he's obviously the reactionary Jason Bourne version of Bond. Roger Moore was the Bond of my childhood. My first Bond movie was Live and Let Die, and I also remember seeing The Man With the Golden Gun in theaters as a child. When you grow up in a particular Bond era, it's hard to see anyone else as the "real" James Bond. But his suave Bond is the way Bond should be.

I know that he's not everyone's James Bond, but he's my James Bond.

Live and Let Die was a right of passage for me.

For Your Eyes Only is my perfect Bond film.

Probably the most underrated Bond film, good call.

I always thought Moore had the best chemistry with the ladies. Connery was a badass obviously, but Moore was on another level in that area.

Interesting fact.

Roger Moore is actually older than Sean Connery and Moore replaced Connery as Bond.

Moore did age better though.

Indeed, but you could really tell that he was getting older in his final movies.

The Bond series is one of my favorites of all time. I grew up with Roger as 007. Like stated above, he will always be 007 to me. I like all the guys who played the role but he is who I associate with James Bond

Just damn... RIP 007

One of my favorite Roger Moore Bond stories is possibly apocryphal.

One of the main reasons he decided to hang it up after a View to a Kill was when he met Bond girl Tanya Roberts' mother on set and found out he was about 10 years older than she was.
