Why do we never meet his money man, I mean from movies 3 and 4 he is loaded.... we will forget 5 ever happened and then next time we see him he is running a restaurant.

Wonder how much money he made during his career, I mean it has to be enough to live well enough later on right?

Creed's family obviously stayed rich even after his death so why couldn't Rocky stay on top like that?

Creed was smarter and Rocky made bad investment decisions.

He certainly had better advice... Rocky doesn't seem to have money after he quit fighting.... would think the money and popularity he had would keep him making money long after he retired.

Because when he had money he was **** rich. A huge mansion, Lamborghini, Paulie's robot, etc. He blew it and went broke.

They discussed it in the movies. He had Paulie do his business dealings and Paulie gave the attorney power of attorney. The lawyer stole the money or made bad decisions. Rocky had not been boxing for awhile still living the dream. It caught up to him.

Wasn't that in 5, which doesn't count towards the Rocky franchise? hence why we had the new versions because 5 sucked so hard.

I also wonder, was their a knockdown rule in place during Rocky's time. I mean he gets knocked down 5-7 times a fight. Seems the fight would be stopped today.

I never understood how or why he put up with Paulies bullshite. He brought him out to LA and Russia and all he did was bitch the whole time. Kudos for Rocky being able to focus with him around. Should of just hired him to housekeep the whole time.

He let Paulie invest his money in questionable merchandising.

It's explained in V, but the real issue is how in the hell was Psulie in charge of Rocky's finds in the first place? All of the issues went down while they were in Rusdia for the Drago fight apparently. Doesn't make sense because Adrian was still home when they left and joined them later.

V never existed as far as I'm concerned and even if Paulie made some mad investments, he is still Rocky Balboa and could have made money with appearances.

If Paulie did lose everything, when/how did he start the restaurant?

I also feel bad for Rocky when Mickey tells him that he has been protecting him. Rocky feels betrayed by Mickey at that point.

Rocky's money man either stole or invested poorly. This was Paulie's fault as he was in charge while they were in Russia. Poor decision.

But he was still Rocky. He could make money a lot of ways as a beloved celebrity. One book deal would have given him the money to start a restaurant. Autograph signings and appearances. The biggest problem I had with V is that he wouldn't have had to move back into that shithole for long. After what he did for Tommy Gunn he would have had a line a mile long with contenders wanting him to train them. He could have printed money.

Rocky Balboa was a nice end point for him financially. However he got there, he had a fairly successful restaurant where he could be involved with something to take his mind off of Adrian for awhile.

Dittos. Rocky could have fought a 10 million dollar Pay Per View fight and been set up for life. I understand the purpose of Rocky V because it was never about the money for Balboa. But this is America, a tell all book or motivational events could have netted balboa six or seven figures for life. ESPN would have been stupid enough to let him be a commentator on Friday Nighr Fights.

Rocky blew his wad on Butkus getting a Tiffany dog collar, a Tiger screen print jacket, new bricks for his step-up Philly home, a Trans-Am, a new bouncy ball and a red beret for Adrian.
