Well, he got his name out there - all the way to the M/TV board. Some guys are just all about the publicity for themselves.

He won't like it much when Ultron shows up on his doorstep though. Probably be one of the first up against the wall.

Downey gave him the hint that they weren't there for those types of questions. Apparently it was too subtle

Can someone take away this dudes press passes? Dude is a joke

He think because he's a reporter that he has a right to be answered on any random question he may have

What an arse. I like how RDJ called him out for being nervous before answering his next question.

Hung out with Downey for 2 days in Palm Springs in '97. Only smoked crack one time since. He's a damn good musician.

He will be on Howard Stern next week which I am sure will be a good interview.

Yeah, this douche likes to think he's Howard Stern, but is a pompous a-hole who really just wants to push his guests around. Howard is the best interviewer of all time, does tons of research on any guest that's coming in, and knows for sure the line he can meet. Downey will probably talk about this with Stern in a way, but I think it will be them dissing this guy. How he hasn't been fired is shocking.

EDIT: Here's a nice example with Tarantino where he asks Quentin the same fricking question about how the violence in his films affects his viewers, and this goes on for 5 minutes. This guy has to be the worst interviewer I've ever heard: LINK

That's just beautiful.

In the right context and setting, I think anything is fair game; however, you can't go from talking about fricking Iron Man and Ultron to 'relationship with your father, are you done with the drugging and drinking?'

Reporter is an arse and an idiot
RDJ clearly wasn't going to talk about personal stuff, he made that extremely clear, and he gave that guy like 5 opportunities to stop his line of questioning

Not the time or place for those questions.

Respect the hell out Downey for overcoming his demons. He is a great example to anyone struggling with addiction that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

You could see the fricking anger he was feeling right before he made the comment about the dude's foot jumping. RDJ's breathing intensified, he stared with focus and cocked his head a little. Without hearing a word you could hear what RDJ was thinking.

Some stellar emotional display on his part. Good for him, frick that reporter.

I have a close friend who is close friends with RDJ and his wife. He stays at their home in LA whenever he's out there. According to my buddy, they are some of the most genuine people he has come across and RDJ goes out of his way to help people with drug and alcohol problems like he used to have. Again, frick this reporter for this. It's not 60 Minutes. It's a movie press junket.

He was on in the Fall as well. RDJ and Howard have amazing chemistry. I won't be surprised if they touch on this and RDJ spills everything that the dipshit from this interview wanted out of him to Howard instead. All about context and place.

Howard always conducts great interviews. He needs to retire from radio and go produce a hour long tv show where he conducts one on one celebrity interviews. Each show would have a different celebrity and it would be just a solid hour of Howard doing in-depth interviews with them

If he stopped the radio show, I'd love for HBO or Netflix to give him a contract. Wouldn't want it to be a cable show since he and his guests are best when they're uncensored.

Seriously, he's without question the best interviewer of all time. He can always come off simultaneously ball busting and very sympathetic to his guests at the same time. His interview with Conan is one of his best he's done recently, and he was able to get the info out of Conan without coming across as Barbara Walters and made the interview actually fun.

He doesn't come across as a pompous "holier-than-thou" a-hole as this prick does. That interviewer is just like "You fricked up once, now answer for it. Better yet, apologize to me for it." frick that guy. What celebrity that has any rocky history (i.e.: most of them) will want to be interviewed by him? I'd fire him for sure for that, especially after the Tarantino interview.
