The Departed (2006) > the Chinese departed

The Mechanic w/ Jason Statham > The Mechanic w/ Charles Bronson

Scarface (1983) > the old black & white one

Oceans 11 w/ Clooney > Oceans 11 w/ Sinatra

And I'll say I really liked the new 3:10 to Yuma with Bale and Crowe but I haven't seen the original.

Just kidding with the others but I would say the Italian Job is well done remake and Oceans 11 was another really good one.

I agree.

Wouldn't go there. First one seems more direct, less rambling. Think the girl in the first one is better. Even like Glen Campbell better than Matt Damon.

Not proud of it, but I like the 1999 remake of the Thomas Crown Affair better than the 1968 Steve McQueen one.

The original True Grit with Robert Duvall, John Wayne, Dennis Hopper, etc. is much better than the remake.

Glenn Campbell was hot garbage in the original true grit. Of course John Wayne is awesome but the remake was overall better.

He's correct though.

It's a universally held opinion.

It probably helps here that the first Casino Royale was a parody and the second was not.

Stop. Reverse that.

First was a shite show tv movie. Second was a parody. Third was a good Bond film.
