Just got on Amazon and saw this. Haven't seen it discussed so I thought I'd share. It's a good show. Richard Kind is hilarious.

Just finished Mindhunter earlier and I spent the entire series thinking that Bill was the same actor who plays Getty in red oaks

I’d say underrated show, but those who’ve seen it typically really enjoy it. So I’ll label it as more of an under-the-radar show. I’ll miss it when it’s gone.

Finished it already. Very solid as always...hate how short it was though

Got done. I liked it. More of the same. Tie everything together and call it the end.

The name reminds of a Sherman Oaks, anyone remember that show from the mid 90s on showtime?

Just finished... only 6 episodes? That were mostly shitty. Expected more

I don't think the episodes were shitty at all. The length of the season...definitely shitty.

Without doing in research to confirm my theory....seems like Amazon Studios didn't feel like they had a long term winner, but wanted to reward the fans of the show with a series closing chapter. Budget must not have been too large either only giving them six 30 minute episodes.

I think the basis of its appeal could have led to its short lifespan as well. All of the episodes were quick to the point and most of the conflicts were resolved within an episode or two. Outside of David's and Getty's ongoing relationship, everything moved pretty fast in my opinion. I wish David's favor from Getty was to make season 4!

Things I wish season 3 had more of:
1. David's love life...
1a. Either steal his work girlfriend away from her doucher bf.
1b. Have more conflict running into Skye more often.
2. More Barry! Barracuda!! He is one of the funniest characters of the show. Missed the mark on not including him more. Even if it was just fly by scenes where he's in the middle of some glorified photo shoot.
3. Less of David's mom being a sexually confused ticking time bomb. Not sure why her role is written out the way it is.
