Thinking of watching this next... I keep hearing good things about it but interested in the board's opinion, if anyone has seen it.

It's really slow and awkward but I strangely wanted to keep watching. I eventually started watching something else and never went back.

Yeah, wife read about it in Garden and Gun. So we gave it a chance. Really good from episode 3 on.

Excellent show. Not for everyone. Very slow and deliberate. Dialogue is perfect and Aden Young's acting is spectacular and should have won him tons of awards.

I enjoyed the first season and really liked the potential. But then it seemed to drag and turn into a night time soap opera. Much like I get distracted when sitcoms use laugh tracks, I also get distracted when tv dramas use overly common strategies of dramatic background music (not background for the characters, but for the viewer). It's as if the director and producer is not confident in the acting, so they rely on music to knock us over the head that it's a dramatic moment.

I also found myself distracted by the lead actor's overuse of speaking low, almost to a whisper. It was as if they were trying to have the character being a state of near constant sorrow.

But that's what overthinking a show looks like. Though I broke up with the show after season 2 and forgot about it, my interest was resurrected when I saw that it was still on and in its final season. It was good enough to bring me back and keep me watching through the end. It still reaked of nighttime soap, but the story was unique enough for me to push through it.

A very emotional series. Great acting as well. Slow paced, but worth following through to the finale, which is one of the better ones to wrap up a series that I've seen in a while.

Finished it last night. Ted Jr was one of the better character arcs I've seen in a while. Good show, but slow and a little heavy.

It was pretty good. Acting wise, I thought his sister, Amantha? Was awesome.

Clayne Crawford is a terrific actor. Teddy Jr. went from horrible douchebag to a sympathetic man trying to become a better person and succeeding.

Rectify is also the most authentic representation of Southern life and a Southern small town I've ever seen on TV
