They need to get this Abby crap out of the way soon, its miserable.

I agree. This is one of my favorite shows and it's definitely not the same
I think they lost some writers in the last two years and it's shown
I still like it, but back when Ray was fixing shite with Avi and his team and Mick was being Mick, it was a top 3 show on tv for me.

I'm about to quit watching. It gets darker and less enjoyable every season. Ray has become a joyless depressed miserable human being. They've lost everything that made the show good in the first couple of seasons.

Season four was unwatchable. Haven't even given this season a shot. Really is a shame. Schreiber,Voight,and Eddie Marsan are all great talents but the writing has just become piss poor.

So far I think it's better than 4, but that's not a high bar. Abby's thing is at least non-linear, and the Sarandon sure-to-be evil bitch deal hasn't developed.
Bunchy & gal are still gross, Terry's still shaking, but has another promising boxer that'll probably pound Bridgette.
Ray still knockin mfers out in a suit that works for blackmail on Sunset, fix in Burbank, Calabasas school principal visit, evening Wedding in El Sogundo, reception/fight, Rap murder cleanup, and get laid at 4am.

It never fails. Every Showtime show that I've really liked has went off the rails after a few seasons. Extremely disappointing.

When Ray went to walk the dog, and she said, "With a bottle of whiskey?", I thought Yes, Bitch, with a bottle of fricking whiskey. STFU and go away already.
This is something single men may not realize, but it wears on a man if some woman is always saying shite like that. "You are gonna go wearing that? With a bottle of whiskey? You're just going to watch football all weekend?" Bitch, please.
Maybe the writers are better than I thought. They tapped that vein of aggravation.
