Yes, I know. Another thread about The Dark Knight Rises.

I bought tickets for the midnight showing for the IMAX theater at the Mall of Louisiana Rave. I recently noticed that they will be showing both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight in the IMAX theater prior to TDKR.

Do they clear the theater out for TDKR or do they just allow the people who bought tickets for the previous movies stay in their seats (or get in the front of the line or something)? Obviously I don't want to stand in line for a couple of hours just to get shitty seats. I'd like to know so I can either buy tickets for the other two movies or downgrade to the non-IMAX screening.

I tried calling but I can only talk to a machine (and even if I could talk to a human being, talking to the people at the Rave can be like talking to a brick wall).

Does anyone have any knowledge about these sorts of things?

It's like IMAX-light. Shown in the IMAX format but it's not on one of those big fricking IMAX screens. I think there's only 50 or so of those in the country.

Don't think they will allow them to stay in seats. Need to see if they have tickets for the midnight showing.

That ticket includes the midnight premier. It's all one thing. You don't buy separate tickets for each movie. I'm sure they will make them get up to clean the theater but I'm thinking they get first priority. They spent more money.

So happy the IMAX I will be at has reserved seating.

Why the hell don't more theaters go this route? I would easily pay a few more bucks to have my seat reserved.

News to me. I bought tickets to the midnight showing IMAX at Rave but nothing else for $13 per. You saying I can use that to go watch the first 2 movies?

There are different routes you can go:

1) The Dark Knight Marathon: this starts at 6pm and is all three films back to back to back. NOT IN IMAX.

2) BB/TDK as individual films: They are also showing BB and TDK separately IN IMAX. BB starts at 6 then TDK at 9. Since these aren't marathon tickets I would assume they would have to clear people out in order to see if they also have tickets to TDKR.

The theater near my home in Atlanta is having seven showings at 12:01 and then a few at 3:15 and a few at 5:50 opening night.

I am going to go see it at the regular theater first. Later on, when all the hype dies down, I'm going to go watch it at the IMAX in Buford, Georgia. That's a true 15/70 IMAX.

RT, Myself a friend and our wives are driving to Nashville on opening night to catch it in true IMAX format. I'll let you know what's up.

Let me also add that we are making a weekend trip out of this to also visit some friends in Nashville.

Only reason why I didn't get that triple viewing was because I assumed it wasn't in an IMAX theater for Rises

Rave had entire trilogy in IMAX, or it's IMAX equivalent, as well. They just had the option to purchase tix for each movie individually as well.
