It's become one of those movies that is a cult classic because it captured a moment in time. Prince was HUGE when he made that movie and the music is solid. I love it.

All I remember is that movie was pretty big at the time, even for middle america.
Not Ghostbusters, or Karate Kid or Gremlins or Footloose or Romancing the Stone or Splash or Indiana Jones, or Terms of Endearment or The Natural or The Terminator or Beverly Hills Cop.
Not a good year to release a movie.
But even at the time, I remember the refrain..."good music, meh movie." Even though the movie was okay, Prince was huge...his music started being played over MJ's music at parties by 1985.

For an R rated 80s movie there wasn't that much cussing and/or nudity. If it were made today Hollywood would shite themselves to make it PG-13 and ruin it...you'd essentially get another awful Rock of Ages.
