Black Sails might be the best show on TV.
GOT may have higher highs, but Sails is so much more consistent. Where GoT struggles in the first few episodes (every season) Sails doesn't. Almost every episode succeeds on its own merits, and could stand alone (unlike GoT). And the end of season payoffs, they're real.
What I like best though is how it continually flouts your expectations, but never in a way that feels cheap or unearned. Indeed, when you step back and think. The outcome is almost always the most logical one, even if it defies narrative expectations.

Season premiere was great and the entire season looks to be phenomenal going off of the previews.
