Earlier today, we found out that the AMC show Preacher would be premiering May 22 at 10pm. But a lucky few who are attending South by Southwest in Austin actually got to see the pilot, and they took to social media to react. Thankfully, they loved it.

I just read some spoilerish info on the pilot, so beware:
-Genesis will not be the spawn of an angel and demon. Instead it will be some sort of alien entity.
-Genesis tries to attach itself to a couple of different Holy men before settling on Jesse. The rejected Holy men explode when their bodies can't handle the power of Genesis.
-I read that one of the people Genesis tries to attach itself to is none other than Tom Cruise. The scene takes place outside of a Scientology building (probably bullshite, but I thought it was funny)
So, if they're making Genesis an alien, I'm guessing they're taking out the whole "searching for God" aspect of the story. Which probably means no Grail, and no Herr Starr. If I had to guess, they'll probably have a version of Starr, but as a men in black type government agent.

Really interested to see if AMC can pull this one off considering the source material

If they screw me out of The Saint of Killers, I will personally track down Seth Rogen and kick his fat arse.

That will be disappointing

I agree. They also better have Jodi and TC involved in some version of the "Until the End of the World" story arc.
