There were reports that the reason why CBS did not include Season 5 of the American science-fiction crime drama TV series “Person of Interest” on its midseason lineup because the network apparently wanted to boost the sagging ratings of the show which was quite evident during its fourth season last year.

As a result, instead of debuting in the fall of 2015, CBS has pushed back the airing date of Season 5 of “Person of Interest” to summer of 2016 where it will have a stronger shot at competition.

However, recent reports seem to indicate that there is another reason why Season 5 of “Person of Interest” was not released during the fall of 2015. Apparently, the TV series has yet to complete filming, particularly its last few episodes.

Fans of the popular TV show actually posted on Instagram several pictures of the cast of “Person of Interest” filming in front of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., details Crossmap.

According to a source, the filming being done on the historic US site is for the 11th episode of the TV series, which means that producers have yet to complete filming for the 12th as well as the 13th and final episode of Season 5 of “Person of Interest.”

Sounds like they are going to wrap up the series with this season.

It is a decent show, but I have to use closed captioning to understand all the damned whispering they do.

most underrated show on tv. I wouldn't be mad if this is the last season. they could wrap it up well without trying to drag out the show for too long and ruining the product

I gave up on this after a few episodes on season one. Seemed like a fairly standard cop type drama with a lot of bad guy of the week type episodes.

I've read that towards the end of season one, and into season 2 it becomes much more serialized and more Scifi. Is that correct? If so I may give it another shot, I think the first 4 seasons are on Netflix.

It definitely becomes much more serialized, and has an overarching storyline. You should definitely give it another shot.

At least watch up through the episode where Shaw is introduced.

Straight up instantly earned a spot in my "Top 5 Hours of Episode Television EVER" list.

It's fantastic... and the show really hits its stride from that point on.

Are you sure you don't just think Shaw is hot?

J/K, Shaw was definitely a great addition. Although, I think the introduction of Root was when the show really started to hit its stride.

Plus, as hot as Shaw is (and she is incredibly hot), something about Root really does it for me (probably the crazy ).

Of course she's hot... but I liked the ep because it had kind of a Groundhog Day feel to it.... How all the characters, each in turn, "arrived" into every scene.

Thought it was a really well-written episode.

Had no idea she would be a recurring character at the time.

It was a great episode. I liked how they used Reese and Finch sparsely (just having them show up from time to time), up until the end. Definitely one of my favorites.

But I think the series as a whole hit its stride way before that episode. Like I said, I think the introduction of Root at the end of season 1 is where the show as a whole got turned up a notch with the series' main story arch.

Has this been confirmed yet? I know CBS basically said "yes we are doing a shortened season, but season 6 is still on the table"

Also, with the season being pushed back I think we are for sure going to see Shaw now.

No, but Jonathan Nolan has said they are approaching it like it will be. The fact that CBS has pushed it back to the summer isn't a good sign for it getting picked up for a 6th.

I also read that CBS doesn't own the rights to the show, so CBS doesn't have as much incentive to keep it going like it does with say NCIS and all of it's spinoffs.

BTW, apparently bunch of spoilers have leaked for the upcoming season, but I'm going to try and avoid them (we'll see how long that lasts though).

The women on that show are crazy hot. I am firmly on the Zoe Morgan train with Shaw a very close second.

Give me crazy arse Root. I bet she's hell in the sack, if she doesn't kill you in the process.
