which version do you guys prefer? the original theatrical or the directors cut?

i loved the theatrical cut but for some reason i really don't like the directors cut, although most reviews I've read claim its vastly superior.

Yeah, those critics are nuts. The original is way better.

BTW This movie is on Netflix streaming right now.

Hated the directors cut. It removes all of the dark comedy from the movie.

Watched Point Blank for the first time this weekend and it didn't take long to think "Wait is this the same movie as Payback." Did not realize that going in. Point Blank was really good, I can see where it would have become an instant favorite to some in the late 60s. It was a cool, stylish movie.
