I have seen it 2d and plan to bring the kids to see it Imax 3d tmrw in Baton Rouge. I have never been to Imax 3d so I am asking the OT's opinion on if it is worth it over standard 3d?

I saw 2D first and I'm going to IMAX 3D (Baton Rouge IMAX, not real IMAX) tomorrow

Awesome, thx. I want to see it in IMAX but wanted to make sure it was worth the added cost and 1 hour drive listening to my kids fight

I saw it Saturday on the IMAX screen at the Rave on O'neal.

Is this why I wasn't blown away, because it is Baton Rouge IMAX?

I saw it in IMAX 3D and I thought that everything you weren't focused on was really blurry.

My buddy sitting next to me had the same problem.

I don't know, maybe it was just us. Another friend of mine saw it in REAL 3D and said it was crystal clear.

I hate all 3D, but I would love to see it on a non-3D Imax screen.

I saw in 2D as well as in 3D IMAX. 3D IMAX is the way to go.

IMAX-3D was pretty cool. I would still rather 2D because I hate wearing those glasses for 3 hours. I accidentally bought the 3D tickets.

Nothing to do with Baton Rouge, it's just that most "IMAX" theaters out there are the digital imax versions. Real IMAX is with film and projector, which not many theaters have nowadays. The digital versions can only use the resolution of the projector/video source(2k or 4k) and can only show an aspect ratio up to 1.9:1., while real imax is 1.43:1 so you don't get to see the entire picture in the digital version

I wish I could see it (or anything else) in regular IMAX. Unfortunately, my local IMAX theater only seems to play IMAX 3D, which is horse shite.

Neither. See it in 2D, as it was shot.

Only IMAX worth seeing if real 70mm IMAX or their new laser tech/ I haven't seen yet in person. Unfortunately, the Aquarium is only local place with real IMAX, but they don't show feature films.

Didn't they show Interstellar when it came out? You'd figure they would jump at the chance to show Star Wars.

yeah, I think so. They're also showing The Martian. Looks like a space related exception. Star Wars should qualify

Wish I lived near one of these venues that had the 2D 15/70mm print.

I wouldn't bring kids under 8 yrs old to see it

I made the mistake of bringing two under the age of 8 and it was too intense...partly b/c of the IMAX 3D and partly b/c of the Kylo Ren scenes
