Once More Through The Gate! The Star Gate

While you guys and gals torture yourselves with Defiance and Revolution, I am entering the Gate once more.

I'm going to rewatch SG1 and SGA and yes.....

I'm going to give SGU another watch to see if I've mellowed on it in my old age.

To the 4 SGU fans...

See you later. Episode 1, here I go....

A little treat to end the thread

Would you hit it?

I want to re-watch SG1 again. I thought it started strong. The Goa'uld were my favorite enemy.

I was also a big fan of the Aasgard. Interesting the "chariot of the gods" scenarios they put forth.

(freaking autocorrect knows Goa'uld and Aasgard, that's awesome.)

Good thing I have Prime. Netflix removed SG1 & SGA.

I dumped Netflix and just use prime and redbox for blu-rays and torrent or stream obscure stuff.

So what's the opposite of "Shaka, when the walls fell"?

That franchise lost me late in SG1 when Daniel Jackson became a space ghost and every new planet was like a different era of Earth history as if it was the gay arse holodeck.

However, thanks for alerting me to Major Carter's tan lines.

Language.

At least in Star Trek they came up with the universal translator or in Doctor Who, the TARDIS gives people the ability to understand all language.

On The Gate, do they ever even attempt an explanation?

Funny how everyone speaks the same language, yet Daniel Jackson is always beating his head against the wall interpreting Goa'Uld and Ancient writing.

Season 1 down.

A few episodes I wasn't fond of. I typically don't like the ones with Master Bratec, the poor man's F. Murray Abraham.

Skipped one episode because Amazon was refusing to play it at more than a crawl.

Not sure how may I will get through today. I've got a lunch to head off to.

They speak Galactic Basic, which by rare chance happens to be the same as English.

I wonder if the Russian Star gate travels find aliens who can read and write in Cyrillic.

Why is Daniel Jackson wearing glasses?

He has been in a sarcophagus several time. You would think that would have healed him of his sight problems.

re: Once More Through The Gate! The Star Gate
Just finished season 4. Most episodes hold up well. A few clunkers here and there. I still don't like most of the Chulak Teal'C centered episodes.

You would think the System Lords would just step the F Away from Earth given that through season 4 we've killed off about 6 big players who had survived 1000s of years.

Sure kicked the Tok'ra's arse of doing almost nothing for 2000 years.

The Doc on her day off.
