Old School vs. Animal House

I know this thread will end up basically being a "how old are you" thread but frick it.
I freaking love both of these movies, I've seen them both 30+ times and still love them, but which one is better?
This honestly sounds like blasphemy because I love Animal House so much, but I'm giving the nod to Old School, too many quote able and lol parts in that movie. When the montage if them kidnapping all their pledges is probably the hardest I've ever laughed at a movie

I was in high school when Old School was released. It's bar none Animal House. Old School there's no way in hell that happens and felt disconnected compared to Animal House because of that. Animal House is believable and you can tell they wrote this movie based on real experiences.
In Animal House, you all knew the characters. You knew a Flounder. You knew a Bluto. You knew a Greg. You knew the serial dating couple that constantly bickered. Sure it's a little far out that Otter fricked the Dean's wife, but I can believe the rest of it.
I'd say the Midterm scene is funnier than any scene in Old School: LINK

Old School was an excellent homage to Animal House - well done overall.
But Animal House is a seminal film for Belushi, National Lampoon, just the whole ball of wax.

Yeah, this is getting pretty insulting. Animal House is on the Mount Rushmore of comedy films.
