Any updates on the viewership numbers?
I feel like last season tons of people walked away.
I only watched the first episode last season, but I'd wager I can tell you basically what happened throughout the entire season....
clue ... not a lot. Negan is a bully, rick is sad, rick has crazy eyes, maggie is tough, maggie wants to fight back, but not rick, he is broken.... oh those crazy eyes.

This split in the season may bite them in the arse.
As shitty as the first half of the season was, many folks may take the split as a good time to walk away.
Will be curious to see how the ratings compare.

Who do you think helped Darryl escape?
Dwight, dwights ex or Jesus?

Always amazed at these post. You somehow only watched the first episode but have somehow figured out what happened the rest of season.
Its like the same people who somehow come up with spot on predictions but claim to have never read the spoilers.

It can be done.
My wife was telling a friend about how I always figured out the "surprise twist" in movies. (The Sixth Sense, The Usual Suspects, Crying Game, etc.)
The friend gave her a movie on VHS and said I would NEVER guess the ending. I knew nothing about the movie except it was a murder mystery.
The opening credits showed that Blair Underwood was in it. I immediately said, "He did it." Nailed it before it even started. Hollywood writers are so predictable.

I'll be watching tonight, but not as pumped as used to be with this show. I'm kinda meh on the show right now

Huge difference between figuring out an ending to a 90 minute movie and an ongoing series in which almost any character is expendible.

I thought they made it clear it was Jesus
when they showed him on the truck then not on the truck
also why else would he have gone to hilltop?

If it was Jesus he woulda just walked out with Daryl
Instead of putting matchbox in door and leaving Daryl a key and match under door.
How would he have gotten key or known where key was
Was definitely Dwight or Dwight woman

Huge TWD fan but I'm ready for this series to end.

My TV guide says "a familiar face resurfaces". Is this as simple as Carol rejoining the main group? Is there anyone that hasn't been on this season that I forgot about?

maybe dwights woman gave Jesus the key
I doubt Dwight was directly involved at this point

not sure what your getting at,
was my synopsis accurate? so much so that you don't believe I did not watch the shows or read about the season?
If so that would be fantastic!
ps - my guess was pretty damn vague, but it proves my point perfectly, nothing really happens in TWD anymore. It is like every episode has become the "fly in the lab" breaking bad episode.
There is no real moving plot, the show has switched to focusing more on "character development" "inner strife" etc. But honestly, what has happened this season? Again, I have seen nothing so I may be making a fool out of myself, and there may have been numerous plot twists and developments... but I just don't believe that to be the case. I'd guess there is another town or two that has been introduced, but the general plot is still that Negan is still a bully and Rick is still his bitch. I'm sure Negan has placed himself in clear danger numerous times only to have Rick constantly bitch out and not take the chance.
Guessing by some of the responses, I am guessing I was not too far off.

You're crying about Rick 'being Negan's bitch'.. wtf is he supposed to do? The dude has ALL the leverage and he just babe ruth'd two of ricks people with a bat wrapped in barbed wire and basically runs shite now. He has numbers, the equipment, etc... you expect Rick to overcome this type of situation in 3-5 episodes? Come on man
Serious question: how would YOU have handled this show after the first run in with Lucille?
One thing I don't understand is why is it that pretty much everyone I talk to IRL LOVE this show.. the only place I see people bitch about it is mainly here and on the rest of the net
