I was about to type out, "whoa,looks terrible", until Bryan Cranston as Zordon popped up. I'm intrigued.

I'm starting to see what Cranston was saying.
This won't be kind of a goofy fun movie with cool action scenes. It'll be a different more real darker take. So it's going to piss off some people.
I'm still cautiously optimistic.
Hader as Alpha 5 tells me he'll be a dark sarcastic almost brooding sidekick. Which is what Hader usually is. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Hader. Just intersting to see how this all develops.

I'm glad it won't be another goofy fun movie. It would hit the nostalgia, but wouldn't last more than one movie, and wouldn't get many hits. I mean, look at the ninja turtle movies... it was nominated for 5 razzies, and won one. We don't want the cheese... we want a more mature version that stays true to the story.
Thankfully this team behind the movie has realized we have all grown up.

There was nothing goofy or fun about those ninja turtles movies. I'm not saying you're wrong, I actually agree with your overall point, but please don't draw a comparison to that Michael Bay rape childhood rape festival 2.0

I went to Power Morphicon last month in Pasadena. Met Ivan Ooze and pretty much every Power Ranger there is. Met the voices of Zedd, Rita, and Goldar too.

I was barely too old to get into Power Rangers, but I used to babysit a cousin who loved them. I remember watching it thinking this is the dumbest damn show I've ever seen with the most generic heros imaginable, suits and all.
I'll let you guys tell me if this is something good enough for a non PR fan to see.

In the prologue of the movie, they do a flashback thousands of years. Rita was the original green ranger. You can also tell by her outfit, which is a torn up ranger outfit, and the green power coin in her staff.
Rumor has it there is a mid-credits cutscene that sets up Tommy Oliver for the next movie.
