I listened to Yaz waaaaaaaay after they first came out. I listened to a lot of Alison Moyet's solo stuff later on. "Falling" off her 1994 album Essex was one I liked a lot in college.

It has a real "road trip to the beach" feel to it.

So I just did a quick googling and had a holy shite moment where I must correct an earlier post of mine.

Apparently Alison Moyet has had lap band surgery and a breast reduction... and looks FANTASTIC not.

Check out this live performance of "Don't Go" from last year.

Doesn't look like she's 50 to me.

Funny, I watched and the thing that kept occurring to me throughout the whole episode is how well crafted the show is compared to most TV shows, from the writing to the acting to the cinematography.

It's a post apocalyptic future where jobs are scarce. It probably takes 2-3 man hours to acquire a body (low cost) and I'm sure they can sell it back to grieving families for much more than that. They could have easily ended up at the same place if Olivia hadn't been cut out of amber already but I think the intent of that side trip was to show just how bad that future is.

That's another one where I think the unnecessary side trip was to show how important Walter was, although if he was so important you'd think Peter would have kept better track of him, he used to.

The main plot has certainly changed significantly, they've gone from worlds colliding to future people invading the past. I like it though. Rather than drag out the worlds colliding story arc longer than it needed to be they found a way to keep the show going that integrates pretty seamlessly IMO.
