halfway thru the first episode and its very interesting... easily one of the best pilots I've seen in a long time

I'm looking forward to it. The pilot was solid, plus I'm a big fan of Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis

I liked the drama, but the writer's lack of understanding of investing is obvious. As a finance person, that always gets to me.

I enjoyed it. I have always been a fan of Lewis.

I didn't think it premiered until two Sundays from now. You all must be streaming it.

If you have Showtime anytime you can watch an early premiere of it on there

Hulu offered a free viewing of the premier. I have Hulu Plus but do not have Showtime (an option on Hulu now). I don't know if you need a Hulu Plus subscription to view it. I was not enticed enough to suddenly subscribed to Showtime, however, so I will be missing the rest of this show.

Should change this thread title to "Billions" or something more official.
I think this show is going to be great. Really solid cast and a great Cat and Mouse setup.
To the guy with the finance writing beef, what has bothered you? They only covered pretty vanilla concepts thus far?
Loved the Buffet quote last night "If you follow anyone for 500 miles, they're going to get a ticket."

I enjoyed it, there is certainly room for this sort of show.
Malin Akerman's character might be pretty bad, though. I thought her parts in the trailer were awful and the full show wasn't much better.

Just watched the pilot... Definitely will go give it a try, the two leads are very strong actors... I think Paul Giamatti's supporting role in Cinderella Man is one of my favorite acting performances in the last 15 years, something tells me he will be pretty good in this as well

This sounds interesting to me.. Going to try to watch this week and catch up

I watched last night. Really liked it.
And no need to catch up. It airs Sunday. The first episode was put up on the app already tho

Just watched the first episode, and all I can say is what a fricking disappointment. They bought an superstar cast and threw one sup-par plot after them. Besides the opening and closing scenes, not a single thing felt like it wasn't expected.

Precisely my criticism of the pilot, which left a great deal to be desired, as well.
As of now we have the wife of an U.S. attorney working with a man this same U.S. attorney wants to utterly destroy and send to prison. Now that's clever writing.
Perhaps the show will grow and become less predictable. I hope so because if done right the subject matter could prove to be enjoyable and interesting.
I will be watching to see how Maggie Siff's character reacts to the dynamics to determine if it's worth continued viewership.
