Daniel Craig has made it official: He’ll be returning for another movie as James Bond.

Craig confirmed the news that had been widely expected during his appearance on Tuesday’s edition of “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.”

Colbert pressed Craig about his quote, when he joked that he would “rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than return to the role. Craig said he gave that interview two days after “Spectre” finished shooting, when he was still exhausted.

“Instead of saying something with style and grace, I said something really stupid,” he said.

Idk.

I really really really like the idea of a series of movies telling a story of Bond.

Spectre was extremely disappointing and the main villain unbelievable beyond any kind of suspension of disbelief.

I wanted Bond to be a sassy black transgender woman.

Playing bond is a privilege. I don't want someone who's not into the role.

Yeah, I like Craig to sleepwalk through the movie like Connery did in his last two.

Still want to know what the storyline will be because they've painted themselves into a corner at the end of Spectre.

Madeleine Swann will probably be killed in a messed up attempt to kill Bond, leading Bond to return to the service 100% on a storyline that reveals a plot to either steal a lot of money or bring down the government. Using cool gadgets and having sex with some women, Bond will come through victorious.

He got dragged back for that one under his old contract after Lazenby bailed. He had no desire to do it.

I don't count that as a Connery Bond.

Diamonds are Forever isn't great but has some memorable moments. You Only Live Twice was pretty good. Not as good as his first 4 but those are some of the best.

I filed that one in with the other things that I pretend didn't happen in movies and tv.

They should've just copied OHMSS and killed her off at the end of Spectre. Either way, we are like 3 movies removed from Vesper dying and Bond avenging her. Would suck if we had to go through that again.

In Spectre, Blofeld should've been in the background or at least he should've gotten away. They should've made it a new storyline going forward instead of trying to make Blofeld Bond's brother and shoehorning the previous movies into that theme.

BTW, the Connery movies I was referring to were YOLT and DAF.

Reading between the lines of his interview with Colbert, Craig hates Spectre too.

Yes. The completely wasted Waltz as a bond villain. I was so pumped when he was announced.

Has anyone mentioned Idris Elba being a great bond yet?
