6- Twelve Angry Men. Wasn't a bad movie, just reeks of people who think they're educated or something to vote for something this talky and argumentative.
20- Star Wars Episode 4, A New Hope. - Looking back, ALL the Star Wars movies are pretty bad, except the original and The Empire Strikes Back.
26- Life is Beautiful - A comedy about the Holocaust, designed mostly to make you cry, is bad enough, but I disliked this movie for the same reason I disliked The Boy in the Striped Pajamas: the action in and around the concentration camp could never have happened.
31- Interstellar - At least Prometheus was interesting in its badness.
40- The Green Mile - Over-long, over-sentimental, over-magical, over-simple, over-rated.
71- Vertigo - Drive around, drive around, drive around, drive around, save the girl from drowning but she doesn't freak out that some old man has been stalking her, bad acting and bad cosmetics within a totally unbelievable relationship.
166- No Country for Old Men - No real story to speak of, a monotonous villain, a protagonist who dies off screen, no real ending, and Tommy Lee Jones yawning his way through it all.
169- Gone Girl - So many ridiculous, illogical nonsense bits in her plan that the overall plot can't be taken seriously.
234- The Help. - The shite pie is supposed to be some sort of redemption for the abused maid, but I think it's an insult to black people that the writer/producer would ascribe to them that sort of behavior.

And while I'm at it, the most underrated, by a country mile:

221- Jaws - A movie lover's movie, the movie of movies, the one that rescued Hollywood only to have imitators and sequels nearly kill it.

That's a pretty solid list of must-see movies. Nice work on the hook.

I actually agree with you on something, Rex.

This is waaaaaaay too high to rate this movie. Basically, #40 all-time? Get real.

Lol both Interstellar and No Country for Old Men are great movies.

Maybe Interstellar doesn't need to be ranked that high, but it certainly isn't overrated.

It's the space epic of this generation as it stands.

No Country is just an amazing movie in general.

Considering all the Nolan fanboys on imdb, I'm surprised Interstellar isn't higher.

Except that's the original. So do you think it's overrated, or do you think the original and ESB are both good? It can't be both.

Agree 100%. It's a travesty that it is rated so low.

I'll agree with you on this. It was on a few weeks ago so I watched it with my parents who are from that era. Afterwards it turned out they both dislike it as much as I did. Historically it is interesting; but it is just a bad movie.

And I think Star Wars 4 (the original) is no where near the #20 movie of all time. Aside from the revolutionary special effects the plot is fairly weak. The Empire Strikes Back is a much better movie.

Gone Girl - agreed.
