It was an incredible episode. The French characters are annoying as hell to me though and I started disliking Floki in season 2.

The shark has been jumped, they lost more in the attack than they brought in ships, how many times will they kill Rollo, three people will make it over the wall when the others couldn't? I am only half way through this episode.

I was always interested in Vikings history so I might give the show a shot. The main issue for me is limited time and so many good shows to watch. A good example is I have been a Justified fan but I'm behind the entire final season which is this season.

Spoilers...
Seriously. Both he and Bjorn(sp?) were depicted as dead... you don't just lay there lifeless and sink into the water, then magically you're completely fine later in the episode with no explanation. And Bjorn was laying completely still, with a lifeless look in his eyes and two arrows through his back. Yet he was in good spirits later that night. Very cheap shock appeal there.

Historical Spoilers...
Rollo Lothbrok is the first Duke of Normandy and great-great-great grandfather of William the conquer. His ancestors still sit on the throne of England. He becomes fascinated with France and sticks around driving the king mad until he gives him land which becomes Normandy "the land of Northman".
Bjorn Ironsides becomes king of Sweden.
So if the show sticks to history, which it appears to do for the most part, them nearly dying is just shock value and they will be central figures for this story if they carry it too much further.

I saw Rollovas more submitting than being near death. It was a 20 ft backbuster. If anything he should have screamed like a girl. Born looked dead. His eyes were just open and no sign of life. Actor might just suck at portraying near death. I am still really into this show, but I am really into Viking culture. I hate hearing the French chick talk. I hope she dies soon.

I know historically Rollo marries a French Nobel woman and converts to Christianity, I hope they aren't playing her up to be that. but her gazing at him and him at her during the battle leads me to believe that will be the angle.
And yeah the kid playing Bjorn I think over acted his injuries. They are also playing up Ragnar's injuries and he is suppose to be killed in a snake pit by king Aella. His death is what makes his other sons famous.

Pretty sure Floki is going to be a bag of dicks even when the show finally sends him to Valhalla. Even his hot wife thinks he's a bag of dicks now.
